I have to admit that I like the look of H&M’s fall/winter 2011 menswear collection although I am still not swayed over the “high fashion at affordable prices” chant. The fall 2011 lookbook for the Swedish fashion chain stars French model Clement Chabernaud sporting main trends for the upcoming season.
The accent is put on classic designs with a twist: well cut, streamline outerwear pieces, blazers and tailored suits, slim trousers as well as casual pants with pleats or loose hips and tapered ankles. Sartorial novelties include a knit jacket, a faux-fur vest or a two-tone camel-and-tweed blazer. Functionality prevails with soft, comfortable fabrics such as flannel, tweed, wool and leather all in a warm color palette including season's favorites - burgundy, camel and also navy, grey, khaki green and tan brown.
Also, for the upcoming fall season H&M prepares another guest designer collaboration with the established Italian fashion house Versace. The men’s collection, inspired by the heritage of Versace, will focus on sharp tailoring, including the perfect tuxedo, as well as stylish accessories such as belts and jewelry.
