Piaggio's hybrid scooters
Piaggio USA will release this year three hybrid-engine scooters: the Piaggio MP3, X9, and the classic Vespa LX (left). So you can now save time, money and the environment as traffic models show positive impact of motor scooters on environment & traffic congestion.
More scooters to traffic mix could save time and money lost to traffic delays and reduce emissions says a traffic model examining a central section of midtown Manhattan in New York City. The traffic model was developed by transportation engineering and planning firm Sam Schwartz PLLC using Synchro/Sim Traffic 6.0.
Never easier to go eco-sensitive as Piaggio, Europe's largest scooter manufacturer will power three top hybrid models this year, on the US market: the Piaggio MP3, X9, and the classic Vespa LX.
Piaggio introduces the three-wheel scooter with the MP3 model. The Piaggio MP3 provides higher safety and stability levels. It comes equipped with the new four-stroke, four-valve, liquid-cooled Piaggio Quasar 250 i.e. engine that meets Euro 3 standards, exceeding the U.S. EPA and CARB standards. The advanced closed loop injection with a Lambda sensor, together with a three-way catalytic converter and electronic ignition control system, considerably reduces emissions as well as fuel consumption and provides immediate throttle response.
