If you thought hanging man lamp was weird take a look at this one over here. The Martyr wall lamp, made from stainless steel (and a light bulb head), is designed by Play Coalition, a London-based creative collaboration that love to experiment with the mix of functional and fun.

Why is Martyr energy saver? Well, the little man is desperately trying to unplug thus trying to cut back on energy use at the risk of its own "life"; this is even more obvious with the "extremist" ceiling lamp design, an updated version of Martyr. It's not called "energy saving fundamentalist" for nothing.

The three young designers Neil, Dane and Joe met in college and decided to start a creative coalition, open to all "good people, commissions and collaborations". Play Coalition brings back the fun of experimenting in design, approaching serious issues like environmental care with a fresh, humorous tone.
