Asus's smartphone based on Google's Android operating system

Another surprise announcement regarding the Android operating system: Asus, one of the most prolific in hardware has decided to launch a smartphone based on Google's Android operating system.

The information regarding this is very clear: Asus is working on a smartphone with Android operating system, but this is not surprising, because in addition to produce notebooks, motherboards and more, not long ago Asus had launched a smartphone on the market designed for those who work or must stay connected.

A working prototype will be presented at the Cebit exhibition to be held in March, so we can see and feel first hand the first EeePhone (after considering the declared technical specifications) from Asus.

Although there is a lot of mystery regarding the design, Jonney Shih, Asus CEO, said that we will have to do with a low-processor (it may be an Atom), SSD drives for lower energy consumption, mini USB ports and a webcam. According to the Asus CEO the terminal will be a cheap product, a price range that goes from $330 to $600.
